Hiking the "Y"

It's time for me to get into shape -
I'm so excited, this year Susie and Seth are joining me!

I'm so lucky to have such a fun step-daughter
and grandson.
Wildflowers in bloom

I love this little guy - he just talks and talks
all the way up it is so cute to get a 6 year-old's take on life
It's pure and real
You can see the beautiful regrowth several years
after the fires.

For me hiking the "Y" has been somewhat of a
spiritual experience - I relate it to life: Its hard, really hard. Keep going,
breathe, then listen to the quiet and release the tightness of unrealistic expectations.
I feel glad to be me - no matter what the world below thinks.
We did it!

I'm so proud of Susie

Good times!

Seth's backpack zipper was broken he is so darn cute!

Until next time!

2008 Girls Retreat

We Did It!
It was so nice to look around me and see all of my
wonderful sisters and mom together in the same room.
We are all very different and have our own
unique talents and abilities but we share the
bond of being a family - I'm so grateful for thier friendship
Our Condo was beautiful - thanks Mom!

Erin was beating everyone at cards

We watched "P.S. I Love You" - I loved it, but Adri didn't

I love my Mom so much - I'm so grateful for your
love, wisdom, support and especially, as I've gotten older for your friendship.
We were lucky to have such nice weather
and to go on a beautiful walk together.

Way to go Lindsey with the baby backpack!

We enjoyed a delicious Thai dinner except for the
song that they continued to play over and over and over...

Amy and her amazing masks - my skin felt so good for days!

Thanks Amy for working on all of us!
This is chocolate! Most everyone was eating so healthy
and being so good with thier diets that we decided to put the chocolate on
our faces instead of eat it - just kidding, I ate some Zingers.

Getting ready to go - this trip went by way too fast.

Goodbye - we loved the sweet little babies there too.

There's more to my life than cats

Green River

Our campsite from a distance

I love the desert in the spring

Rick put together the coolest treasure map and hid it
in an old bottle for the kids to find, they had so much fun
trying to find the treasure -- we even got some of the adults to
believe too!

The kids were having such a blast being pulled around by Wes

Oh come on honey let's take another picture

Off for another adventure

Cool hugh?

Maddie and the treasure map

Happy Easter

Maddie and Brigham hanging out at the Easter picnic

I've been a little slack on updating my blog lately and I felt bad so I threw a couple pictures of my kitties up for a change but now I'm really going to update. Within the last month we had a fun family Easter gathering, went on a family campout and hiked the narrows (I just loved that). I've been getting into gardening and really enjoying it. I went to Topaz Mt. with my hubby this last weekend and learned to really appreciate the nice necklace and earrings he made for me on mother's day. It is hard work to break those rocks but it sure is fun to find a beautiful topaz waiting inside. I recently ordered a book about make-up (suprised?) It is by a make-up artist named Bobbi Brown. I really like her natural approach to beauty and making the best of what you have and trying to be the best you instead of wishing you looked like someone else.
